Why are you looking for a Marg alternative?

Start with the problem, not the software. Marg ERP is built for billing, GST, stock, batches and accounts. If those are what is not working for you, you need a different ERP. If billing is fine but enquiries go unanswered, reps forget to follow up, or you cannot see which lead source produces partners, replacing Marg will not fix that. Those are sales problems, and they need a sales CRM.

Many PCD pharma owners search for “Marg alternative” when what frustrates them is sales: WhatsApp enquiries piling up, leads living in reps’ phones, and no view of follow-ups. An ERP, however good, is not designed for that work. See pharma CRM vs ERP for the full difference.

What Marg ERP does well

Marg is an established pharma and FMCG trade ERP. According to its own website (checked 22 October 2026), it was established in 1992 and serves stockists, wholesalers, C&F agents and pharma distributors. Its pharma page describes:

• GST billing, e-invoicing and e-way bill generation
• Batch and expiry tracking, with near-expiry alerts
• WhatsApp invoices and payment reminders, with payment links
• Cloud backups and mobile apps for ordering, delivery and owners
• SFAXpert, a separate MR reporting product with daily call reports, GPS tracking, tour plans and e-detailing for field forces that visit doctors

Marg also publishes its prices on its homepage. On 22 October 2026 these ranged from ₹5,550 (Nano, up to 2 users) to ₹26,000 (Gold, unlimited users), plus 18% GST, with extra charges for additional users, companies and customisation. Check their site for current prices.

For billing and books, these are real strengths. If they suit you, keep them.

What Marg is not built for

Marg’s website does not describe tools for handling franchise enquiries. As of 22 October 2026 we found no mention on its public pages of lead or enquiry management, automated WhatsApp replies to new enquiries, assigning leads to reps, or follow-up reminders for leads. Its WhatsApp features are for invoices and payments, which come after a party is already ordering.

That gap matters for a PCD company because most sales are lost before the first invoice: the enquiry that arrived at 10 pm and was answered the next afternoon, the lead that had no owner, the follow-up nobody made. (This is based on Marg’s public website, not a test of every product; if you rely on a Marg feature for this, ask Marg directly.)

Judge them on batch and expiry handling, e-invoicing, stock across locations, user limits and local support, and ask for a demo using your own data.
